The iconic Blue Flag is one of the world's most recognised voluntary awards for beaches, marinas, and sustainable boating tourism operators. In order to qualify for the Blue Flag, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria must be met and maintained.Blue Flag represents pure water, clean coasts, safety and access for all.

​Global Marina Institute ​
The Global Marina Institute Ltd was formed in 2011 as a partnership between British Marine and the Marina Industries Association, to deliver global marina training and certification with the aim of maintaining and increasing standards in marinas across the world.
Marina Industries Association
The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is the peak representative body for marinas, slipways, boatyards, berthing, mooring and other marine storage facilities as well as sailing and cruising boating clubs. MIA is a public company limited by guarantee and has an industry Board of 12 directors and three staff. ​Its mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of the industry through the promotion of marinas and the provision of education, environmental accreditation and research programs and policies.

ICOMIA - International Council of Marine Industry Associations
The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) is the international trade association representing the global marine industry since 1966. ICOMIA brings together national marine industry associations in one global organisation and represents them at an international level, presenting a strong and united voice when dealing with issues challenging the industry.
AMI - Association of Marina Industries
The Association of Marina Industries (AMI) is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated exclusively to the marina industry. Today, AMI is responsible for the AMI Training Institute , including the internationally acclaimed Certified Marina Manager (CMM) and Certified Marina Operator (CMO) programs and small topic-specific conferences, plus the annual Conference and Expo. AMI’s 1,000+ members have access to discounted services, timely industry publications, and legislative support and updates. AMI was formed when the Marina Operators Association of America (MOAA) and the International Marina Institute (IMI) merged in 2005.
Greek Marinas Association
The Greek Marinas Association (G.M.A.) was established in 2010 in order to represent, upgrade and promote the tourist ports and marina facilities throughout the country.
TransEurope Marinas
TransEurope Marinas is an association of select European marinas, spanning ten countries and close to 45,000 berths. Member marinas seek to encourage cruising throughout a wide network of international marine destinations whilst benefiting from shared expertise.
